The United States government has determined a list of select agents that include the bacteria, viruses, fungi, and toxins that have the potential to cause a severe threat to public health and safety if used in a bioterrorist attack.

This course will primarily focus on sentinel laboratory procedures used to rule out several of the bacterial organisms that are included in the Select Agents List, as well as provide information regarding some of the viral and biological toxins.
