The use of multiple cardiac markers in the same patient is not common. Today, only troponin testing is used. But it is still interesting to compare the kinetic profiles of different markers to each other. The graph depicts the increase and decrease in cardiac markers in a classic case of AMI. Graphs like this are commonly used in training and can even be found on medical laboratory scientist and medical laboratory technician certification exams.
