Manual Calculation. Nomograms, conversion charts, online calculators, and user manuals make manual calculations for RCF, and RPM mostly unnecessary. Nevertheless, on those rare occasions when manual calculations are required it is beneficial to be familiar with the equations necessary to determine RCF and RPM, as shown below. A word of caution, be sure to use the proper equation for the rotor radius measurement.
