Auto-Texts Creation

Continuing with our Dragon Medical One example, most SRTs have the option to automate text, add new words to the system's vocabulary, and correct previously dictated text. The following are steps to accomplish that with the Dragon Medical One:
Auto-Texts:
  • Navigate to Auto-Texts:
    • Click the blue flame (Application Menu) on the toolbar
    • Hover over Auto-Texts
    • Click the plus sign (+)
  • Or say “Manage Auto-texts” and the Manage Auto-texts dialog box will open.
Adding New Words:
  • Navigate to Manage Vocabulary:
    • Click the blue flame (Application Menu) on the toolbar
    • Hover over Manage Vocabulary
    • Click the plus sign (+)
  • Type the word exactly the way Dragon should enter it.
  • Click the microphone icon and say the word as you would normally pronounce it.
Correcting Text:
  • Correct text during a dictation event by saying:
    • Select [word]: Highlights the word and brings up the Corrections Box
    • Choose [1,2,3]: Picks the appropriate word from the list of choices
  • Add the corrected word to the Vocabulary
    • Type the word and train the system to learn the pronunciation
Help Menu:
  • Explore the system's Help menu for functionality, tips, best practice advice and much more.
    • Navigate to the Dragon Toolbar
    • Click on the blue flame (Application Menu)
    • Click Help and type your request
“What You Can Say” Menu:
One of the most important Dragon Medical One phrases is the help menu command is “what can I say?”. When spoken, this phrase will open a new window with all the available voice commands.
You can also click the flame icon and then choose the “What You Can Say” menu option (see image, right).
