Record Keeping

Record keeping is crucial in the IHC laboratory. Not only for compliance and regulatory agency purposes, clean and organized record keeping will ensure a well managed IHC program. Record keeping is important when performing antibody dilution panels, validating antibodies, keeping track of the procedures performed, and to use as references. Most of these records can be generated from an automated stainer, but if there are techniques performed manually, there should be procedures available for use.
