Serological Testing

Serologic tests for an indirect diagnosis of past exposure to SARS-CoV-2 can be based on lateral flow immunochromatography in near point-of-care testing. Lateral or vertical flow immunoassay is an extremely versatile and rapid method for visually detecting antigens in a blood sample on a test strip. This method can be a complementary tool to the direct detection methods of enzyme-linked immunoassays (ELISAs) or qualitative chemiluminescent immunoassay.25
