Cold Autoantibodies

Cold autoantibodies are antibodies that act against an individual's own antigens at temperatures below 37o C. These antibodies can be associated with different diseases such as Cold Agglutinin Disease and Paroxysmal Cold Hemoglobinuria. To determine clinical significance of the autoantibody, testing can be performed in the Blood Bank.
