Introduction to Primary Hemostasis

Primary hemostasis is considered the starting point for the hemostatic response mounted by the body, subsequent to vascular damage. Its activation serves as a trigger for ensuing hemostatic processes, as the mechanisms are all interrelated.

Primary hemostasis consists of two key parts:
