Reducing the Risk of Fires Involving Chemicals

  • Chemicals that are flammable or combustible should be stored in a fire-resistant cabinet; only a minimal amount should be stored on open shelving in the technical work areas.
  • Be conscientious about storing flammable and combustible chemicals far from sources of ignition.
