This training program is designed for your benefit and protection. In it you will receive the information necessary to ensure your familiarity with the hazardous chemicals and drugs in your workplace and how best to handle them.
On March 26, 2012, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published its Final Rule, updating the Hazard Communication Standard that addresses hazardous chemicals in the workplace to be in alignment with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). The changes are intended to standardize chemical hazard communication in both the safety data sheets (SDS) and on the chemical labels. The goal is to achieve a safer work environment through understandable, consistent language regarding handling, storage, and use of hazardous chemicals.
The information that is included in this course is in compliance with the new GHS elements in the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard.
