Handwashing Procedure

Follow this order whenever you wash your hands:
  1. Remove and dispose of gloves.
  2. Wet hands.
  3. Use liquid soap (bacteria live in soap dishes).
  4. Wash for at least 20 seconds, cleaning all surfaces (including under fingernails).
  5. Don't touch faucets after washing (don't recontaminate your hands).
  6. Dry with paper towels.
  7. Turn off faucets with paper towels.
