Follow this order whenever you wash your hands:
- Remove and dispose of gloves.
- Wet hands.
- Use liquid soap (bacteria live in soap dishes).
- Wash for at least 20 seconds, cleaning all surfaces (including under fingernails).
- Don't touch faucets after washing (don't recontaminate your hands).
- Dry with paper towels.
- Turn off faucets with paper towels.
