Cytogram for Cellular Scatter: Intrinsic Characteristics

As cells exit the flow cell of the flow cytometer and intersect the laser beam, intrinsic cellular properties can be reflected, analyzed, and depicted in a scatter plot. In this cytogram, side scatter is on the x axis and forward scatter is on the y axis.

*Note: laboratories can identify which axis they will use for each scatter and that will affect the appearance of the scatter plot.
