Weight Loss Method for End-point Determination

As calcium is released from bone, the weight of the tissue decreases. When the weight loss plateaus, the decalcification process is complete. This method can be used on large specimens, but for small specimens, the change is minute and too inaccurate to be used for end-point determination.
