Infection Control

To control the spread of infection, any of these events must occur:

  • Person-to-person transmission is prevented.
  • Host response is effectively stimulated to prevent, control, or eliminate infection.
  • Antimicrobial treatment is effective against M. tuberculosis.
Therefore, an effective TB infection control program must include:
