Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone (TSH) - Thyrotropin

Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), also called thyrotropin, is a glycoprotein produced exclusively by the anterior pituitary gland. As previously mentioned, TSH is the only normally-occurring hormone that directly stimulates the thyroid gland to produce and secrete thyroid hormones.
