Space Heater Requirements

If a space heater is used in an area where it is approved for use, it must meet these requirements:
  • The heating elements in the space heater cannot exceed 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Heaters with hot elements, even with guards, are not allowed
  • The heating elements cannot be exposed
  • The approved heater must be connected directly to an outlet without the use of an extension cord.
