New genes for chemokine production

Understanding that the role of macrophages may not be only due to the production of IP-10 and MIG, we analyzed the heart tissue for a large number of genes.
What we found after doing RT-PCR analysis was that there were many new genes we had identified, as seen in the graph to the right.
