Large, rectangular, anaerobic Gram positive bacilli have been recovered from a wound. No spores were observed in the Gram stain of either the specimen or the pure culture. A double zone pf hemolysis was seen on the aBAP subculture plate. The organism was lecithinase positive and lipase negative.
