Symptoms of Chlamydia Infections

Majority of cases asymptomatic
If symptomatic:
  • Urethritis in men and women; cervicitis in women
  • Can spread to upper genital tract and cause epididymitis in men
  • Epididymitis is not a cause of long-term sequelae
  • In women upper genital tract infections are serious causing pelvic inflammatory disease
