Laws and Rules of the Florida Board

As a clinical laboratory professional in the state of Florida, you are bound by several statutes and regulations. These statutes and regulations are intended "to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the people of this state from hazards of improper performance by clinical laboratory personnel.”
This program summarizes the major pieces of legislation that govern clinical laboratory personnel in Florida and explains how these statutes and regulations affect you and the performance of your job. These are:
1.Chapter 456, Florida Statutes: Health Professions and Occupations: General Provisions.
2. Chapter 483, Part III Florida Statutes: Clinical Laboratory Personnel, and
3. Rules: Division 64B3, Florida Administrative Code (abbreviated F. A.C.).
