Hematocrit28.8%36.0 - 48.0%
MCV59 fL 80.0 - 100.0 fL
MCH17.4 pg 26.0 - 34.0 pg

Platelets591 X 109/L150 - 400 X 109/L

Even though the RBC count is normal, it is increased for the amount of hemoglobin present. The concentration of hemoglobin in the RBCs is slightly decreased (hypochromic) and the cells are small (microcytic). The variation in RBC size is also slightly above the normal reference range as are the number of platelets.
